JUST BEFORE

Often times, we are quite in a haste to take certain decisions. Sometimes, those decisions we take are quite hasty and if it’s the wrong decision, we end up regretting our actions (decisions). Of course, we cannot rule out the fact that we are NOT perfect.
So, here it is, a very quick one just before you hit “that”. Have you thought of the “what ifs” involved? What if she gets pregnant, will you own up? What if it gets all crazy and you forgot to clothe IT, and she infects you? What will you do when it goes wrong? Just before it happens, weigh and consider what happens after it happened; when the deed (would) have been done.
Just before you take that property (phone, bag, laptop, etc) that does not belong to you, take a pause and ponder. What if you get caught in the act, with the rate of jungle justice up and down in Nigeria? What if you take it, about to run, and a vehicle takes your life at the spot? Probably you succeed, but your future is haunted?
Just before you swear it, that the lie you told was the honest truth, remember the trust and confidence that has been (built and) invested in you. When your truth has been (investigated) exposed as a lie, would you EVER have a good reputation?
My dad would always say, (as translated from igbo) chew your words before you spit them out. Just before you say that spiteful word, posed as a joke, just before you gossip about that person and add “sweet juicy” lies, just before you insult and verbally abuse that person, take a nanosecond and switch position. What if you were talked down at and abused, how would you feel?
My dear, just before you do that, very quickly, do this: THINK. THINK AGAIN.
                                #my opinion; my perception.
